DESCRIPTION:Junior Ride Day Sunday November 15th – SAVE THE DATE\nOtway Enduro Club is holding a junior ride day. This recreation ride is open to Otway Enduro Club members only (Juniors – up to 16 years can join for $25 per year). The aim of our Junior Ride Day is to encourage our children to have fun on motorbikes, improve their skills and to ride with other Juniors. The recreational ride day is on private property in Karwarren\nIf you are not a Junior Member please join up online here. ( https://otwayenduroclub.org/become-a-member/ )\nThe riding is off-road on both single track and open grassed area. We have set-up two single track loops which include some testing hills. For riders not ready for this, there is an open grassed area available to develop your skills.\nPayment and Registration \nThe club is currently transitioning our entry and insurance process. We will provide an update regarding payment and registration in the lead up to the recreation ride.\nParents Help\nWe are always grateful for extra help from our club community. While we already have strong parent support on the ride day itself, we are particularly looking for volunteers to assist with track set-up in the weeks leading up to the recreation ride. If you are available to help with track set-up or other tasks on the day, please contact Gareth Guy on 0437 039 441. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. We are also seeking qualified First Aiders who are willing to volunteer for a shift on the day. Your support would be invaluable in helping our existing volunteer team.\nMotorbike Scrutineering\nParents/Guardians please note, the children’s motorbikes will be scrutineered before they can ride. Please make sure their brakes work, wheel bearings are in good order and their clutch and front brake levers have not had the end ball snapped off. The throttle returns to neutral position on its accord after revved. Please use common sense when inspecting your children’s bike, we want these recreation rides to be as safe as they can be and it starts with a safe bike.\nJunior Ride Day Information\nCost: TBC – the club aims to keep these days at a low cost and affordable for all families/riders.\nRegistration: TBC\nWhere: Kawarren (Private Property)\nRide Date: Sunday 15th November\nRide Time: 9.00am start – 3.00pm finish\nLunch: BBQ lunch and drinks will be available to purchase.\nToilet: Toilet on property\n\n\n_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________\n\nParent Information\nSafety and Protection\nAll junior riders must wear the following safety gear:\n\nhelmet\nmotorbike boots\ngloves\ngoggles\n\nIt is recommended you also wear:\n\nbody armour\nknee protection\n\nMotorbike Maintenance\nPlease ensure your motorbikes have been checked before the ride day. These checks include:\n\nTyre pressure\nLevers are in working order (not broken with sharp ends)\nBrakes are in working order\nMufflers on bikes are not loud (please keep the baffles and spark arrestors in)\nTyres have enough tread to be ridden in muddy conditions\nThrottle is not sticking\n\nRide on designated tracks: If riders do not ride on the designated tracks they will be warned, if they reoffend they will be asked to stop riding.\nRider safety is very high on our list, we want all riders to have a great time so it is important better riders are careful when riding near younger or less experienced riders.\n\n_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________\n\n\n\n\n\n
